Statement of Action

As principal of Baranduda Primary School I am dedicated to providing the highest quality education for our students along with exciting opportunities and experiences.

I will work with staff to pursue best practice so that your child gets the learning experiences they need to achieve success. I intend to build on the great things that are already happening in our school, as well as introduce approaches and practices developed from best research. My aim is to ensure children receive the essential learning they need while also acquiring skills for a technological future.

This year, as a school we will continue to implement improved numeracy practices introduced last year and we focus on fostering capable and enthusiastic writers. We will also further our work in making use of digital resources to optimise learning.

I will continue to pursue extra-curricular opportunities to provide a full range of experiences that meet different interests and talents. I intend to pursue this through family learning opportunities where possible – strengthening the partnership between home and school. Any chance for links with the wider Baranduda Community will also be maximised.

A priority for me is maintaining high expectations for respect and behaviour so that superior standards are associated with our school. I will balance this with providing the necessary support for every child, so that their inclusion and success at school is assured.

I consider relationships as crucial to my work and I am dedicated to positive interactions with every member of our school community.
